Job preferences!
Hello Developers,
We've introduced Job Preferences on Showwcase which helps you more easily find and match to the interested opportunities that YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.
Once you're on the Jobs page, all jobs are ordered by based on your profile and how well they match your preferences.
Remember that setting your preferences NEVER HIDES JOBS. It just orders them more intelligently. If you’d like clear away jobs you’re not interested in, you can always use the filters for that.
We bring in at least 30-50 jobs a week to Showwcase so you should be able to find something.
p.s. Companies are using Showwcase to hire technical talent like yourselves so the best way to stand out is to complete your profile :)

Great developer profiles - Avyay Singh
We've had a whole bunch of new developers join Showwcase recently and I'm really enjoying browsing the developer profiles recently. This is a great front page for all devs.
Whether it's your Profile tags, Tech Stack, Github repos, About section, or Positions History, it's so easy to holistic see who you are, what you've done, and who you've worked with.

How do you come up with your first idea?
These are some that ive learnt:
1. Scratch my own itch: I note my daily workflow, see what problems I face, and try to build solutions to those problems
2. Rebuild my favourite app: Take a complicated app that I love and build a simpler version of it - its always less functionality but more pretty!
3. Help people around me: Ask five people about the problems that they're facing. Try to solve the one that’s most interesting to me
4. Help people online: Go to Reddit, Quora, Twitter, Showwcase, IH, etc. People are always sharing their troubles and challenges. Which problems look interesting to me? Solve them.
Any more?

Principles for dealing with the Changing World Order
Again, I can't recommend this enough. I'm just about to complete this read and it's absolutely amazing for understanding what's happening at a macro level across the world today.
