Today is April 24, 2023, and in a few hours, we will be having the official launch of Hackfest 2023. Tapas, Favor, and Kapeel will be giving more insights on this Showwcase hackathon.
I am excited to participate in my second hackathon. I am not sure what I will build yet, but I am sure it will be fun. In my previous hackathon, I participated in 2PlaysAMonth by Reactplay, an open-source React community. I won the prize of 2nd runner-up. It was an overwhelming experience and I learned a lot. I also conducted a 5-day web development boot camp and created a series of shows with summaries and video links. You can find the series here
I know what you are thinking 🧐 . He's just....
Let's come back to the track. If you ask me, I was already aware of Hackfest a week back as Favor, Rong, and other Showwcase folks were sharing about it on their socials. And even I shared about it on my socials. I'm mostly active on Twitter and LinkedIn ( Follow me there if you're not 👀 ) to get some more participants for this tech event. I've been in the ideation process since then, but haven't seen the showwcase docs though.
Finally, the Launch event is done and now I'm super thrilled to get started with my ideation process. The challenge here is to create something around Showwcase using their APIs. Got a detailed guideline on what we can and can not do with showwcase APIs. Also, kapeel gave some amazing project ideas, have noted them all in my notion. Will have to brainstorm with these references and also have to read the showwcase docs in detail. Let me have a look over their APIs tomorrow.
See you tomorrow techies. Only 31 days left now 🙂
Let's go 🚀
