Today is April 25, 2023, and I am writing my blog for the third time due to an issue with Showwcase's auto-save feature. I need to inform the Showwcase Tech Team about this problem since it can be frustrating for writers.
After the event launch yesterday, I started exploring Showwcase API documentation. I appreciate how well-organized their documentation is, and I noticed they also use Docasaurus which is the same tool we use at Reactplay for our documentation project. If you're interested in contributing to our documentation project, feel free to do so.
Coming back to the track so the one thing that I saw is that most of the Amazing API of Showwcase needs authentication and in the second we don't have access to the authentication feature at the moment. I wish we would have access to it, but it's fine let's build something with the things that we have in our hands.
As I delved into the API details, I came across a list of questions related to Showwcase API. It was great to see, how helpful the Showwcase team was on their Discord channel, providing answers to all of my API-related questions.
After spending some time exploring the documentation, I started ideating the project I want to build using Showwcase APIs. After testing each API on Postman, I realized that Showwcase has a vast amount of data as blogs and threads with amazing technical content. All I need to do is organize the data and build something useful out of it.
I have decided to create a Chrome extension for this project. Although I have never created a Chrome extension before, let me take this as an opportunity to learn something new. I know it might be challenging, but I am confident that I can do it.
That's all for day two. Tomorrow, I plan to list all the APIs and determine what type of Chrome extension will be useful for both the Showwcase team and the people who use Showwcase.
Let's go 🚀
