Day-19: Completed 'Communities' and 'Roadmaps' sections of ShowwcaseXS

Today is May 12, 2023, and yesterday was my cheat day. I didn't do much; I simply rested because I was too exhausted to work on ShowwcaseXS. However, I did take a quick look at the community API, and today I have planned to focus on working on the community section. Also, I'm thinking of completing the Roadmap section, which seems relatively straightforward and simple compared to the complex notification section. Let's see how it goes.

I reviewed the community API and also have completed the community section of ShowwcaseXS. However, there is a problem with the community API in Showcase. We are unable to retrieve the correct image URLs to display the community images. Currently, I have a fallback image set up, which is shown on the front end. However, it doesn't look good because all the images being displayed are fallback images, and it affects the overall appearance.

I have raised this issue in the Showcase Discord channel, and I hope they address and resolve it as soon as possible. Fortunately, I don't have to do anything manually when the correct image URLs become available; they will automatically show up. Let me quickly show you how the community section looks.

Next, I will be focusing on the Roadmap section of ShowcaseXS. I have reviewed the Roadmap API, and it appears that Showwcase currently has only three road maps. I do have a design for this section, but I'm not completely satisfied with it at the moment. Let me develop it first and then will see...

I have finished working on the Roadmap section of ShowwcaseXS, and it appears to be in good shape. I just feel there is room to add more details to the Roadmap cards. However, for the time being, I will leave it as it is. If I have the time to optimize it later, I will definitely do that to improve the design. Right now, I have to focus on several other sections, but I'll keep optimization in mind. Let me show you how it looks at the moment.

In addition, I have dedicated some time to create a utility function for the snack bar and copy-to-clipboard feature. Since this functionality is required in multiple places throughout ShowwcaseXS, I decided to create a separate utility folder. Inside this folder, there is a utility file that includes all these utility functions, which can be utilized across the application. I have already implemented this feature in the road map section. Let me show you how it looks now.

Finally have completed almost 75% of ShowwcaseXS, as per my plan I have to complete the entire application by the 16th of this month so that I can then spend some time on creating the landing page in Nextjs and also a lot of optimization in the application.
