Day-22: Implementing Tooltip on Navigation bar of ShowwcaseXS

Today is May 15, 2023, and as mentioned in my previous update, I have completed the MVP of ShowwcaseXS. Now, my primary focus is on enhancing the UI/UX of the application and creating a landing page for ShowwcaseXS. Instead of building the landing page from scratch due to time constraints, I have to search for a suitable template. After considering various options, I have decided to use a Nexjs and Tailwind landing page template. Since I am familiar with Tailwind, I'll be able to create the landing page faster. Today, my goal is to improve the UI by implementing tooltips on the navigation bar.

I have finished implementing tooltips for showwcaseXS, and I must say that it has added a lively touch to the extension. With tooltips in place, the user experience has greatly improved, as users can now easily identify the purpose of each icon. The overall design is also quite cool. Allow me to quickly show you how it looks.

After extensive research and gathering various landing page resources, I have finally settled on a free template. Now, I need to clone this GitHub repository and customize it by adding my own CSS and text. The template currently is a light theme, but I plan to change it into a dark theme. Additionally, I have to add relevant colors that complement the dark mode. Furthermore, I will be recording a video to showwcase on the website. However, before I can add the video, I still need to make some modifications to the extension. Once these adjustments are complete, I will be able to include the video on the landing page as well.

Tomorrow I will work on improving the thread cards by adding the action icons at the bottom. Also, have to design the landing page for ShowwcaseXS.
