Hey, world, this is Yuan.

A virologist-turned UX & Product designer driven by a strong belief in design as a way of building communication between people with products they use. Currently, I'm in my 2nd year as Visual Communication Design grad student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I'm interested in design transformation, design system and micro-interaction.

Before that, I was a PhD candidate in pharmacology at University of Minnesota. I have done 5+ years research experience in biomedical science with publications on PLOS Pathogens, Journal of Virology, Journal of Biological Chemistry and Science Reports.

In my free time, I like doing motion design, creative coding and playing with my cat!
